Ed Garrett is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Environment and Geography at the University of York. His research focuses on coastal wetlands and, in particular, using sedimentary records to understand sea-level change and coastal dynamics over decadal to millennial timescales. He's interested in how saltmarshes have responded to past environmental change and what this means for future coastal resilience.
