Purpose
The ReMeMaRe Heritage Group, a sub-group of the wider UK ReMeMaRe mission, unites interested parties to openly discuss and explore the challenges, successes, and overarching benefits of engaging with cultural heritage and the historic environment within estuarine and coastal habitat restoration activities. This novel group seeks to highlight how heritage assets and nature recovery enhance each other and foster engagement with coastal communities.

Objectives
- Sharing existing guidance and resources amongst group members during meetings.
- Sharing case studies, based on estuarine and coastal habitat restoration activities, with the sector via a public ‘Case Study Library’ on the ReMeMaRe Heritage Group webpage.
- Exploring and enabling multi-disciplinary collaboration between the natural and historic environment sectors, including raising awareness of intangible cultural heritage, cultural ecosystem services, culture and heritage capital, and the natural capital approach.
- Identifying evidence gaps and implementation challenges.
- Encouraging group members to develop their own proposals for consideration as part of the ReMeMaRe Project Pipeline.
