Theme: “An integrated approach to emerging challenges in a World Heritage Site”

The Symposium, entitled ‘An integrated approach to emerging challenges in a World Heritage site’, will be organized by the Wadden Academy in co-operation with the Common Wadden Sea Secretariat, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation, the Delta Program Wadden, Knowledge for Climate and the Estuarine and Coastal Sciences Association.

The Symposium brought together scholars from various disciplines, managers and policy makers interested in the Wadden area in Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands plus comparable areas in other places of the world.

Four themes: Climate and Water; Biodiversity; Sustainability and Ecosystem Services; Science for Policy

Each theme will consist of invited key-note speakers, case studies and poster presentations.

Organiser: Wadden Academy in co-operation with Common Wadden Sea Secretariat, Ministry of Economic affairs, Agriculture and Innovation and ECSA. Publication: seen the subject we aim to publish a selection of peer reviewed papers in Ocean & Coastal Management/ OCMA.
