Estuaries & Coasts of North-west England (incl. Solway Firth), 20th to 22nd May 2024 Carlisle, UK

The 2024 ECSA Focus meeting will look at the Estuaries and Coasts of North-West England. The area covered will be the Ribble, Morecambe Bay, the West Cumbria Coast and its Rivers, and the Solway Firth including South-West Scotland.

Focus meetings cover a wide range of topics ranging from novel science to nature conservation, recreation and the activities of local special interest groups. The informal atmosphere provides an ideal opportunity for students and early career scientists to present their work.

The meeting will be held between 20th-22nd May 2024 at the University of Cumbria’s Fusehill Campus in Carlisle. The main meeting will take place on 21st & 22nd May and we hope to run an (optional) field trip on the afternoon of May 20th.

The Fusehill site is close to the City Centre and within walking distance of Carlisle Railway Station.

Registration will be open from 29th January 2024. A booking form can be found here.

Offers of presentations and posters are welcome. If you are interested, please send brief details to Andrew Wither who will also be pleased to answer any other queries in connection with the event.:.
